Everett High Schools wins the national high school football championship.

Everett beats Oak Park, Illinois, 80-0 in the title game at Fenway Park to finish undefeated and outscores its opponents by a margin of 600 to 0 for the season. The team is voted by Sport magazine votes Everett the greatest high school football team in history by Sport magazine in 1960 and by Sports Illustrated in 1987.
